In the center of the Russian town of Volgograd, not far from the place there Russian army took famous Field Marshal Paullus a captive, marking the end of the Stalingrad battle, a poplar grows. This poplar is one of the symbols of the town, it reminds the inhabitants of the glorious victory. Local authorities established a marble stone under the tree, in memory of this heroic battle. On Easter eve some unknown hooligans broke the stone in three parts, and stole one of them. A few years ago some other malefactors destroyed a granite stone on the bank of Volga. It was cut on the stone that that in 1942 there was a Stalingrad passage there, the only way, connecting the besieged town this the world. And now, on Easter the act was vandalism was committed again. Police have not found the hooligans. Probably the God will punish them.
