On the 2nd day of Russian President Putin’s latest visit to Russia’s northern capital, Saint Petersburg, dozens of city residents witnessed a curious incident on the Kamennoostrovski Prospekt. The street was cleaned up and seemed completely ready for the passage of the President with his escort. All of a sudden, apparently by an oversight one of the police outposts, a trolleybus, carrying passengers, drove out to the deserted avenue and kept on moving down the street, following its usual route. The presidential guard, having realized their inadvertence, rushed to pursue the “disturber.” The trolleybus was finally overtaken and stopped. According to IMA-Press, the passengers were asked to disembark and scatter, while the driver was ordered to turn to the nearest lane. The driver explained to the guard that it was impossible because there were no trolleybus wire in the lane. The guard got the message – they disconnected the vehicle and pushed it into the bystreet by hand.
