The territory of Altai republic is covered with “space debris”

Since 1959 the territory of Altai, the republic in western Siberia is being used as an area where waste stages of carrier rockets, launched from Baikonur, fall. More then 2 thousand tons of the “space debris” have fallen to the territory of the republic within this period. These are second stages of more then 400 space ships.
