Russian Kaluga region cooperates with China

The Kaluga Region, Central Russia, will expand cooperation with the Chinese province of Shaanxi in power engineering, medicine, agriculture, forestry, greenhouse farming, production of TV-sets and construction materials. April 4-10 a delegation of the Kaluga visited China at the invitation of the government of the province of Shaanxi, held talks with the governor and business circles of this province and visited the zone of development of new and high technologies in the town of Xian. One of the next weeks a delegation of the Konka Group Co. Ltd., one of China's largest TV corporations, will arrive in Kaluga to sign an agreement on the production of some 50,000 TV-sets on the floor-space of the Kaluga radio plant this year. It is proposed to gradually increase the production and make some 500,000 sets a year. The Chinese side showed interest in the potential of the Kaluga Region with the world's largest greenhouse plant seated there in the production of greenhouses and relevant equipment. In addition, the Chinese side will send to Kaluga a delegation of doctors to teach Russian experts secrets of traditional Chinese medicine.
