“Bashful Anti-Semites Club” - an exhibition bearing such a name has opened at the Borei art gallery in Saint-Petersburg. Artist Vasili Golubev, the exhibition’s organizer, says the exhibition’s name does not reflect its contents. On display are pictures featuring contemporary everyday life and also the artist’s fantasies stirred by St.-Petersburg’s scenes. “In this life, there is nothing more interesting than a game of plotters where among your adversaries there will surely be, at least, one Jew,” Mr. Golubev is quoted by IMA-Press as saying. Exactly this idea served as a pretext for giving the exhibition such an intriguing name.
