Residents and the administration of Moscow’s tiny Khimki district have collected a humanitarian package estimated at over Rbs2m. The package has been prepared within the framework of a humanitarian action to support Russian servicemen in Chechnya. The package includes cigarettes, tea, coffee, clothes. It is not for the first time that Khimki renders aid of such kind. Patronage has been also given to some units of the Internal Ministry troops. Yuri Korablin, head of the Khimki administration, says such an assistance brings tangible fruits. In his words, the Russian army’s morale and fighting power in the current 2nd Chechen campaign is much higher than in the 1st campaign.
