Moscow comes out to back Macedonia

Russia has expressed its firm support to the political leadership of Macedonia and the steps it is taking to ensure stability and security in the country, says a statement issued by the Russian Foreign Ministry, as cited by RIA Novosti. "The extremists and terrorists should not have the slightest doubt that the rightful measures taken by the authorities to protect the national border, defend its territorial integrity, and ensure the safety of its citizens will be fully understood and backed by the international community," the statement emphasizes.
