Russia has enough raw materials for stable development of its economy

Russian geologists provided the increase of the stock of oil and gas in 2000, which compensated their mining in 94 %, RF Natural Resources Ministry reports. In general, the resource estimation of the hydrocarbon raw materials stock increased in 3,5-5 milliard tons. New gas fields were discovered in Siberia. In 2000 the Natural Resources Ministry issued 468 licences for hydrocarbon raw materials. According to the RF State Committee for Statistics, the volume of oil production amounted to 312,676 million tones in 2000, the volume of gas production in the same period of time came to 555,1 milliard of cubic metres. Thus Russia has enough raw materials for stable development of its economy, Skrin.ru reports.
