The consideration of the statement in connection with Pavel Borodin’s arrest is underway in the State Duma

State Duma committee for internal affairs is going to consider the draft statement in connection with the detention of Pavel Borodin, State Secretary of Russia and Belorus, Dmitry Rogozin, the commitee's chairman told journalists. Borodin’s lawyer Eleonora Sergeyeva took part in the sitting of committee, when the question of Borodin’s detention was discussed. The draft statement contains the request to USA State Department to block USA court’s decision, if it decides to extradite Borodin to Swiss authorities. According to Rogozin, “the State Department is the only government body in USA, whose terms of reference provide for blocking the court’s decisions because of oneness of this issue, connected with Borodin’s status”. February, 13 US Office of Public Prosecutor, acting in the interests of Swiss Prosecutor’s Office, passed Borodin’s documents to court. American party do not lay claims to Borodin.
