Nurse killed one of her babies and sold the other for organs

26-year-old hospital nurse from the Russian city of Ulianovsk strangled one of her babies and sold the other for transplantation of organs. The baby, sold for organs, was the forth child of the nurse Svetlana Tulayeva. He was born last June. Tulayeva went to Samara region of Russia together with the baby’s father, 28-year-old Ruslan Kuprov and sold the boy to a Gypsy, Valentina Vandalurova. In a few months the criminal group was arrested. Kuprov and Vandalurova were sentenced to 3 years of imprisonment each, and Tulayeva was sentenced to 3,5 years. However it became known in the course of investigation that she had killed her previous child and buried the body in the yard in front of her house, Versti reports. Now the Public Prosecutor’s Office is going to appeal against the court’s decision: only the clause on trade in children provides for up to 10 years of imprisonment.
