Ukrainian task groups freed in the early hours of Friday morning two hostages in an operation at a prison in Ukraine’s Kherson Region. Volodymyr Lyovochkin, deputy chief of the department for corrective institutions, has told Interfax that the hostages (two guards) have been hospitalized, further details to be released later. On Tuesday evening six inmates of the corrective institution took the two guards hostage, demanding a meeting with the regional prosecutor and the representative of Chechnya in Ukraine. The incident took place in the industrial section of the prison in the village of Daryevka. The hostages were kept in a power substation. Preliminary reports say one of them has been wounded.
