CONTAINERS WITH RADIOACTIVE MATERIALS FOUND IN MOSCOW

Two containers with radioactive materials have been found in Moscow. An employee of a Moscow-based firm voluntarily surrendered two radioactive containers to the police station at the Nagornaya metro station in Moscow. As RBC news agency has learned from the Rodon-press information centre, this businessman was scared by an unexpected death of his colleague among whose personal belongings there were two containers with radioactive materials. Police called experts from the Rodon research institute who determined that the radiation level from these containers succeeded the norm. At present, the dangerous containers have been taken to a disposal facility. The police are investigating this incident.
