Akhmad Kadyrov, the head of the Chechen administration, has survived another assassination attempt Monday evening. A powerful bomb exploded on a highway in the southern outskirts of Gudermes, Mr. Kadyrov’s spokesman Taus Dzhabrailov has told the Interfax news agency. The bomb had been planted in the same location where an act of terrorism was attempted against Kadyrov's son Ramazan 10 days ago. The explosion was so powerful that several vehicles were tossed around and badly damaged. Mr. Kadyrov made it through the attack unharmed, while seven of his guards suffered contusions and cuts from flying glass. The Chechen police are searching for the possible organizers and perpetrators of this latest terrorist attack. Kadyrov arrived at his office early Tuesday morning and got down to work.
