ISRAELi president IN MOSCOW

Head of the Israeli state Moshe Katzav arrived in Moscow today. Russia’s Vice Premier Ilya Klebanov welcomed Mr. Katzav at the airport. The Israeli president is accompanied by a delegation of Israeli businessmen. Today, Mr. Katzav is due to have an official breakfast with Russia’s Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov. A meeting with Russia’s President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov is reported by RIA Novosti as scheduled for Wednesday. The Mideast peace process is going to dominate the Moscow talks. Also, the issues of trade and economic cooperation between Israel and Russia are expected to be paid much attention during the visit.
