Chairman of the Russian-Belarussian Supreme State Council, Belarussian President Alexander Lukashenko, has denounced the American authorities for the detention of Pavel Borodin, State Secretary of the Russian-Belarussian Union, at the New York airport by request of the Swiss police. Lukashenko "is perplexed with the move of the authorities of the United States," assistant to the Belarussian president Vladimir Makei told Interfax in Minsk on Thursday. Borodin is an international executive who has diplomatic immunity, Interfax reports. The heads of the Supreme State Council "denounce the action of the American authorities," Makei said.
