A moderate earthquake shook central Taiwan on Thursday, but no damage or injuries were immediately reported, seismologists said. The 5-magnitude quake's epicenter was in Nantou County, which was hit by a massive earthquake in 1999, killing thousands. The county is about 125 miles south of the capital, Taipei. Tens of thousands of aftershocks and small tremors have rattled the island since the 7.6-magnitude quake devastated parts of central Taiwan. A 5-magnitude quake can cause considerable damage, AP reports.
