The Supreme Court of Russia's republic of Kabardino-Balkaria has launched proceedings against Chechen terrorist, castigator and assassin Salautdin Temirbulatov. The criminal was arrested in Chechnya on March 19, 2000. An investigation disclosed a series of brutal murders he committed amidst Russian servicemen who participated in anti-terrorist activities in the Chechen Republic. In the meantime, Chairman of the Kabardino-Balkarian Supreme Court Yury Mairov told RIA Novosti that Temirbulatov's four-volume dossier abounds in episodes of crimes which experts will have to analyse thoroughly in order to give them a legal opinion. On the whole, the crimes committed by the terrorist fall under 30 articles of the Russian Criminal Code and include murder, abduction, capture of hostages, involvement in illegal armed units, and illegal possession of arms.
