Duma depute files an action against Philip Morris and British American Tobacco

An action against western tobacco companies “Philip Morris” and “British American Tobacco” was filed in Moscow inter-municipal court. One of initiators of the appeal to court, State Duma depute Alexey Mitrofanov considers that selling cigarettes in Russia, these companies violet Russian laws on protection of consumers, “Moscow Echo” reports. In particular, the addresses of producer and representative are not noticed at the packs. The plaintiffs demand to withdraw the tobacco production of both companies from sale and repair a material damage by paying 500 million rubles.
