Yevgeny Primakov, the leader of the Fatherland - All Russia (OVR) faction in the State Duma, thinks that one of the key contradictions of present political development of the Russian Federation is a strengthening of the chain of command accompanied by the centralization of all financial flows, which affects the regions' independence. Giving a report at a meeting devoted to the 1st anniversary of the OVR faction in the Duma Primakov stressed that in the whole world a process of a political centralization was carried out against the background of economic de-centralization in all directions. "We do not follow this world tendency of the development," Primakov said. He noted that the contradiction was in the strengthening of those regions that prospered in the economic development. Primakov said that it was a bad recipe for the country to contribute to the development of those who are steady on their legs, when it was possible to influence the country on the whole. Primakov stressed that the monopolization of strategic industrial branches by groups of oligarchs was a negative tendency, RBC reports. According to him, the policy of the government directed at the financing of industrial and resource sectors of the economy is a counterbalance to this negative tendency.
