SHADOW GOVERNMENT IN NIZHNI NOVGOROD

Aleksandr Kosarikov, the Duma’s deputy and leader of Nizhni Novgorod’s division of the Yedinstvo bloc has announced the creation of a “shadow government” in this Russian city on the Volga river. By this term Mr. Kosarikov designates a special commission which is to monitor all the directions of the Nizhni Novgorod Region’s activities. “We are not going to be secretive and will consult the authorities affecting them in many ways, through mass media inclusive,” he said. A pro-President’s Yedinstvo boss is concerned that “oligarchs are coming to the region”, and the commission is designed to counter them.
