Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafy has called for Arab countries to open their frontiers to allow volunteers from Libya to march on Israel.
More than 100,000 people demonstrated in Tripoli against the repressive policy of Israel against the Palestinians. The Libyan leader, Muammar Gaddafy, presided over the demonstration, claiming that “Libya asks the Arab countries to open their frontiers to let through the Libyan volunteers who wish to travel to Al-Qods (Jerusalem) to help Abu Ammar (Yasser Arafat)”.
Gaddafi attacked Arab countries for not doing more, asking “Why do you spend millions on reinforcing your armies if these do not serve to help the women and children of Palestine?”
