Surgutneftegaz, LUKoil to run joint operations in Western Siberia

.Surgutneftegaz is planning to join forces with LUKoil on the development of mineral resources the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area, said Yamalo-Nenets Governor Yury Neyelov at the 'Russia: Oil, Energy, Progress' international investment forum today. Making this announcement, he referred to a conversation between Surgutneftegaz president Vladimir Bogdanov and LUKoil head Vagit Alekperov. The governor also said his region needed $65bn for mineral resource development, promising that investment projects would return about $5,000bn in profits.
