The USA to start the control flights over Yemen and Somalia

The USA is getting ready for the control flights over the territories of Yemen and Somalia. These countries are suspected of having Al-Qaeda and Osama bin Laden’s terrorist camps. The Times newspaper wrote with reference to the army sources that Washington was preparing for the new phase of the anti-terrorist war. Great Britain is allegedly offering its help to the USA, as well as Germany and France. However, the decision pertaining to the exact number of the aircraft in the operation has not yet been made.

The American military men have taken Afghan peasants prisoners by mistake, and those peasants accused the Americans of tortures and malicious humiliation. The Washington Post wrote on Monday that the Americans were beating up the captive peasants.

Twenty-seven prisoners, released in Afghanistan last Wednesday, said that the tortures were horrid, a lot of people could not stand them and fainted. Others were released having their ribs, noses broken and teeth knocked out. The Americans detained the peasants on January 24 in the village, in which 21 Afghan civilians were killed as a result of the American air raids. Two weeks after they were freed and the Americans said they were sorry for having bombed their village by mistake.
