Russia's membership in the WTO will result in absolute destruction of the local aviation industry. Duma Deputy Ivan Grachyov gave this opinion to RBC. Additionally, according to the deputy, "one of the conditions for Russia's membership in the WTO is reorganization of the energy industry, which will lead to its practical division and a reduction in prices of Russian energy." Grachyov underlined, "Russia has two industries that can compete on the world market, the aviation and space industry and the energy industry, and we should concentrate maximum resources there, limiting foreign participation to the minimum." At the same time, Grachyov added, "membership in the WTO is beneficial to some Russian manufacturers, for example, steel companies, which will be able to sell unlimited amounts of their products on the markets of Europe and America."
