British investment in Russia has increased twofold in the first eight months of this year against the January-August period of 2000. RIA Novosti learnt in the Russian trade representation in London on Thursday that investment volumes in the Russian economy had reached $586 million, which accounts for 8.8% of foreign investment in Russia. Great Britain is one of the leading investors in the Russian economy along with Cyprus, the USA, France and Switzerland.
