A slow rise in prices of most of highly liquid securities has been reported on the Russian stock market. Traders point out that the fall on October 15 allowed some speculators to again intensify buying of some shares, and a rise in the futures rates for US stock indices as well as an increase in indices in Europe were taken as a pretext for the growth. In general, the situation on the Russian market has not changed, there is practically no interest in buying or selling shares, and the trade volume is very low. Participants of the trade await further developments on the American stock market and also are closely monitoring the dynamics of oil prices. If oil prices continue to decline, prices of Russian securities may also fall to lower levels, traders reckon.
