A delegation of the Russian Central Electoral Commission (CEC) headed by Alexander Veshnyakov is due to set off for Croatia on Friday. According to the CEC press service, the delegation is to participate in the annual conference of the Association of Central and East European Countries Election Organizers, timed to coincide with this organization's 10th anniversary. The participants in the conference are due to discuss a range of issues concerning electoral campaigns funding. Yevgeny Kolyushin, a CEC member, is due to deliver a speech on this topic. Apart from this, the Association's representatives who observed the presidential election in Belarus are due to present an expanded report to the conference. Alexander Veshnyakov is due to hold consultations with the Association members on putting the draft convention on free and democratic elections standards worked out by the Central Electoral Commission for European level consideration.
