United States intends to carry out ground operations from Tajik bases

This piece of news was transmitted today by CNN, referring to an informed source in Pentagon. According to the TV company, the official Dushanbe gave the US official permission to carry out military operation from Tajik territory. The ground operations could start after the air attacts on targets in Afgahnistan have finished, which are planned to last for several days.

It is thought that elite groups of soldiers, as well as other US Army units,in particular, units and sub-units of the 18th Airborne Corps, including the 82nd Airborne Division, the 101st Airborne Division, the 3rd Mechanized Division, and the 10th Light Infantry Division will act from bases on Tajik territory.
