Large Group Of Senators Will Support Draft Land Code

The Federation group in the Federation Council, the Upper House of the Russian parliament, will support the draft Land Code at a voting on October 10, deputy head of the Council's Agrarian committee, Mikhail Odintsov, announced in an interview with RBC today. The Federation Group includes about 100 senators. He mentioned that the group will hold a meeting before the voting - on October 9 - and probably make a decision to vote for the draft unanimously. "In this case the Land Code will definitely be passed by the Upper House," Odintsov was quoted as saying. At the same time, he believes the draft would be passed in any case.
