US Congress has supported an initiative, by which, for the first time since the year 1945, the US can issue war bonds. According to this measure’s adherents, while buying these bonds, US population could express its support to the authorities’ campaign against organizers of terrorist acts in New York and Washington. According to John Swiney, republican congressman from New York, at these times of national unity, war bonds will serve as a perfect tool Americans can use to make their contribution to realizing justice towards persons, guilty of the attacks. US House of Representatives approved of the proposition. By US Constitution, this is a necessary condition to pass any tax law. The document will be now submitted to the Senate. Last month, the US parliament’s upper chamber already approved of similar positions as a compliment to the budget.
