On Tuesday, the special visiting session of the Davos forum, devoted to Russia, will continue its work in Moscow. The sittings of the forum entitled "A Meeting in Russia - 2001," are going on in the Mariott Grand Hotel. As RIA Novosti was told by an organiser of the forum' visiting session, Thierry Malleret, the participants in the session lay emphasis on "the new tendencies, future reforms and possibilities which will influence the conditions of doing business in Russia." According to him, the forum in Moscow is called upon "to give a signal to investors that the situation has considerably improved in the past few months." On Tuesday, the participants in the Moscow Davos forum will concentrate their attention on Russia's progress towards entering the World Trade Organisation (WTO). The organisers of the meeting point out that the discussions will concern the arguments in favour of Russia's joining the WTO and the consequences of this step for Russian economy. In the light of the possible membership in the WTO, the working groups will discuss prospects for the development of Russia's export, the provision of financial services, perfection of communication technologies and the development! ! of industries capable to replace import.
