Co-chairmen of the OSCE Minsk group on Nagorny Karabakh conflict put forward new proposals to settle it. According to the statement made on Saturday by Russian deputy foreign minister Vyacheslav Trubnikov who arrived in Baku, those proposals "did not differ drastically from the previous ones". Trubnikov stated that "those proposals were more detailed, better worked out and they might give the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia the possibility to conduct a constructive dialogue". Trubnikov was accompanied to Baku by Russian co-chairman of the OSCE Minsk group Nikolai Gribkov to take part in the work of co-chairmen from Russia, USA and France who were visiting the region. Trubnikov indicated that co-chairmen used to speak from principled positions and expressed confidence that the conflict would be settled in a peaceful way. He emphasized that without good will of President of Azerbaijan Geidar Aliyev and President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan the work of co-chairmen of the OSCE Minsk group which was always characterized by constructive approach would be not be easy. Co-chairmen of the OSCE Minsk group from the USA, France and Russia will hold negotiations with the leadership of Azerbaijan, of the self-proclaimed Nagorny Karabakh republic (located in the territory of Azerbaijan and inhabited mostly by Armenians) and Armenia as well as will take part in the process of monitoring counducted by the OSCE mission at the line of contact between Armenian and Azeri armies in the Terter region.
