On Sunday morning, a fishing trawler Fadiko of the Sakhalin producers' company ran aground near the Southern Kuril island of Polonsky. The Vladivostok marine rescue-coordination centre received the distress signal from the trawler at 4 a.m., Sakhalin time. Marine border guards were the first to come to help the fishermen. They took 22 crew members on board the patrol border vessel. Three members of the crew, including the captain, remained on the trawler to collect documents and prepare it for sealing. "Their life is out of danger," the rescuers pointed out.
