Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov has signed a decree on granting more authority to the Federal Energy Commission, the press secretary of the commission reported to RBC. Initially, the Federal Energy Commission regulated tariffs on the transportation of oil, oil products and gas via major pipelines and tariffs on deliveries of electricity and heating services. According to this decree, the commission will also set tariffs for railroad freight services, services of transport terminals, sea ports and airports. In addition, the decree stipulates that the staff of the Federal Energy Commission will be enlarged by 35 people.
