The third session of consultative commissions on development of economic cooperation between Sakhalin, a Russian island in the Sea of Okhotsk, and Japan's Hokkaido prefecture opened in Russia's Far East on Monday. The discussion will focus on "interaction in tenders for construction of an infrastructure of oil and gas projects in Sakhalin," reported the press center of the Sakhalin regional administration. The Japanese delegation participating in the session will also pay a visit to Korsakov, the largest port of Sakhalin.
