Atomflot Prepared For Emergencies

Russia's Atomflot shipyard, which maintains and repairs civilian vessels with nuclear power units, is fully prepared for an emergency situation on such vessels. The Murmansk city administration told RIA Novosti that such a conclusion had been reached by the experts of the local radiation safety committee and regional office for civil defence and emergencies after they carried out an non-scheduled check at Atomflot. According to Head of the Radiation Safety Committee Alexander Ruzankin, the examination showed that Atomflot was ready for any emergency.
