A delegation of businessmen from Japan is arriving on a two-day visit in Nizhny Novgorod, a large industrial city on the Volga river, on Tuesday. The Department of Foreign Relations in the Nizhny Novgorod administration told this RIA Novosti correspondent that the delegation comprises heads of governmental organisations and leading Japanese companies, such as Jetro, Exim Bank, Rotobo, Mitsui, Toyota, Mitsubishi, Itochu, Marubeni, Sumitomo, etc. The goal of the visit is to familiarise the businessmen with the region, and hold negotiations on economic cooperation between Japan and the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The visit's program includes meeting Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Gennady Khodyrev, and visiting major industrial enterprises. A business seminar and a round table discussion will be also held in the Japanese Centre, which opened in the city in October 2001. Japanese and Nizhny Novgorod businessmen will participate in them.
