At its today's session the government of Russia will consider the draft law on making amendments to the 2001 federal budget, said Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov. He underscored that these amendments were not connected with increasing the expenditures and redistributing the additional revenues. "The total amount of the budget's expenditures will not be increased. However, the Finance Ministry proposes to use the funds saved during the servicing of the state debt and to send part of them for resolving urgent problems, in particular those facing the army and law enforcement bodies," said Mikhail Kasyanov. After being considered by the government, the draft law will be submitted to the State Duma (Lower House of the Russian Parliament).
