State Duma chairman Gennady Seleznev supports the intention pronounced by Russian President Vladimir Putin to significantly cut nuclear weapons. In his interview to parliamentary correspondents the lower house speaker said that he positively regards the statement by the Russian president. Since the course for nuclear disarmament has been set, reduction of these weapons should be started. According to him, the number of weapons should remain required to ensure Russia's security. "All calculations should be done and warheads reduced until all of this comes to zero," Gennady Seleznev noted.
