Russia should choose the way to join the WTO which will bring maximum profit to its economy and Russian business. This is the opinion expressed by Vladimir Lisin, member of the board of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and chairman of the board of directors of the Novolipetsk metallurgical combine. In his interview to RIA Novosti Lisin reminded that the Union's bureau had passed a resolution the other day, in which it supported Russia's entry into the WTO. At the same time, he noted that Russian business community has different views of the methods and policy of Russia's joining the WTO. Vladimir Lisin believes that Russia's entry into the WTO should not do any harm to the Russian economy. According to him, talks should be held to reach a most-favoured-nation treatment for the Russian economy and industry. "However, it is impossible to drag out the process of establishing Russian industrial policy, since the process is obligatory and inevitable for any economically developed country," he emphasised.
