Security measures have been enhanced in Ingushetia. The personnel of the republic's interior ministry has been transferred to the intensified regime of service. Militia toughened control over the facilities of the railway and air transport and in the places of mass concentration of people. The examination of the luggage is being carried out with the help of specially trained dogs. The government buildings are being strongly protected. These measures are connected with the threat of the acts of terror which may be perpetrated during the court trial of the Chechen terrorist Salman Raduyev being held in Dagestan. The ministry reported that "information available shows that leaders of the illegal armed formations are planning to commit acts of terror in the North Caucasus" and that the protection of the Ingush section of the Russia-Georgia state border has been enhanced.
