Gennady Seleznev, the speaker of the State Duma (Russian parliament's lower house), welcomes the meeting between President Vladimir Putin and members of both houses' international committees to be held on Tuesday. While speaking to journalists, Seleznev named the meeting "an expansion of contacts between the president and legislators" and "a very good beginning of a new practice". He assumed that the president would hold meetings with other committees' deputies to discuss the most crucial laws. According to Seleznev, President Putin is due to discuss with the legislators his recent visit to the US, and the Russian-Moldovan "big treaty".
