Russian senator Vladimir Kulakov has come out for equal the rights of Russia and 19 NATO member countries. In an interview with RIA Novosti before the beginning of a meeting of the joint working group "Federal Assembly - NATO Parliamentary Assembly", Kulakov who is vice-chairman of the Federation Council security and defence committee stated that Russia is ready to cooperate with the North-Atlantic Alliance on separate positions. "Their list can include struggle against international terrorism, development of the programme of European anti-missile defence, and non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction," Kulakov said. According to him, the anti-terrorist operation has shown that Russia's contribution to the fight against terrorism is now greater than that of the NATO member countries.
