Chairman of the Russian Central Election Commission Alexander Veshnyakov deems it inadmissible to postpone the presidential election in Yakutia. He made such a statement Wednesday talking with journalists. Veshnyakov reminded that today the Supreme Court of Yakutia is to consider in essence the complaint about the competence of nominating incumbent head of the republic Mikhail Nikolayev for Yakutian presidency for a third term. Veshnyakov approved of such an intention of the court, though noted that it "would take a whole month, which does not adorn the republic's judicial power in any way." Mikhail Nikolayev tries to be re-elected for the third term at any rate, even contrary to the applicable legislation.
