SIBUR Shareholder Meeting Fails To Take Place

The Siberia-Urals Retrochemical And Gas Company (SIBUR) shareholder meeting didn't take place because of a lack of a quorum: the largest company shareholders, among those Gazprom, didn't participate. Shareholders believe that it will take additional time to thoroughly discuss the new draft of the SIBUR charter and adjust it to the new version of the federal law for joint-stock companies effective January 1, 2002, according to the Gazprom press service's report. The date of the next SIBUR shareholder meeting will be fixed after the new revision of the company charter.
