On Wednesday night air service to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk has been resumed, RIA Novosti was told at the Civil Aviation State Service of the Russian Transport Ministry. Air communication with Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk "was interrupted for almost 24 hours because of unusually strong snowfalls and wind", said the Civil Aviation Service. The first passengers from the island will arrive to the mainland by planes bound for to Vladivostok, Khabarovsk and Krasnodar.
