President Vladimir Putin of Russia signed a decree to intensify combating terrorism. The press service of the head of state informed RIA Novosti Friday that the document is called "On Measures to Implement UN Security Council Resolution No. 1373 of September 28, 2001." The decree instructs all federal bodies and bodies of state authorities of the Russian Federation members to prevent and stop financing of terrorist acts, introduce in compliance with the applicable legislation criminal responsibility for deliberate granting or raising funds for such purposes. The government has been instructed to submit in a two-month period a report on the implementation of the decree.
