President Vladimir Putin has instructed the federal emergencies ministry to take adequate measures to do away with the aftermath of the natural disaster in the Krasnodar Territory, southern Russia. The Russian president held a telephone conference with the first Deputy Emergencies Minister, Yury Vorobyov, Friday, said presidential press secretary Aleksei Gromov. According to the emergencies ministry southern centre, as many as 48 houses were flooded and 300 residents evacuated in the Territory's Temryuk district. On Friday, the water level in the Kuban river went down to normal. At the moment, water is being pumped out from the flooded area. Should rescue workers succeed in the effort, the houses will not be too severely damaged. The Krasnodar Territory has had double the annual average of precipitation over the course of the month, something which caused the Kuban to overflow its banks.
