The construction of a second reactor will be start at the Rostov atomic power station in the first quarter of this year, director of the station Alexander Palamarchuk announced. He reported that more than 18bn rubles ($591m) were allocated for the construction and adjusting work that is to be completed in 27 months. Rostov regional governor Vladimir Chub announced that they received almost 500m rubles ($16.42m) in revenues from energy produced by the first reactor last year and these revenues were spent for social projects in the region. All in all the first reactor of the Rostov station produced more than 4.5bn kWh since it was put into operation.
