In Novosibirsk, a big Russian city, a staff-member of the local television and radio company was attacked on Tuesday. The editor of the morning news department, Olga Shadrina, was attacked early in the morning on her way to work. Two criminals, who got out of a taxi, snatched a bag with money and documents from her and started to beat her. A man from a nearby house, who was having a walk with his dog at that time, hurried to her rescue. A militia patrol who soon arrived failed to detain the criminals. They are still being searched for. The journalist's colleagues don't think the attack had something to do with her professional work and think that the criminals' aim was simply robbery.
